Syrus stood in a crowded room, full of his most trusted allies, as well as a few of the most powerful mortals to have ever lived. Each of the 10 Sages were represented or present. Syrus and Sieg Warheight, Descendants of Sage Warheight. Darius, Serge, and Sarah Ravenshield, Descendants of Sage Ravenshield. Julius Darkspear, Descendant of Sage Darkspear. Sage Gottheit and Xavier Gottheit, his Descendant. Kai Baptiste, Descendant of Sage Baptiste, and Talis Rai, shadow of Alistair Baptiste, Descendant of Sage Baptiste. Sage Blackthorne. Sage Benglasse. Sage Pendragon. Sage and Charlotte Voltaire. Kraven Solaris, Descendant of Sage Solaris. On the day when Syrus was to be married, a collection of the most powerful mortals known to humanity all sat with their King, deep underneath the capitol city of Toryn, in Algeroth. The area beneath the castle-like city was known as Deep Toryn, which was a description of it's elevation, as well as an allusion to the Deep Magic which protected it from unwanted intruders, disallowing them entrance.

Sitting, not at the head of the table, or above them, but amongster them at a table with several even sides, Syrus deeply thanked his guests for their various gifts and appearances. Long-lost artifacts and objects of great power had been gathered in celebration, signifying the close of many incredibly long and deadly expeditions. Among these, the Fang of Adriel had been recovered and repaired by Serge, as well as the Tomes of Power that accompanied each Sage during their prime, though pages from each were still missing. These objects were collected in a frantic attempt to prepare the world for the coming of the apocolypse. Syrus had begun to suffer from more and more frequent dreams of The End. He feared that it would come on his wedding day, and even moving up the date of it did not cease his ever-present hallucinations. The beings that had been described to him were always in the corner of his eye. His room was nearly burned to a crisp as he woke up from his nightmares and flung fire frantically at the shadows in the corners of his chambers, a desperate attempts to purge the shadows from his sight and mind. And now that they had them, and the resurfacing of several actual living Sages, Syrus' power had increased exponentially. He felt stronger than ever, and yet defenseless, as he had never felt before. Despite all attempts to console him, Syrus couldn't help but feel the depression and foreboding sense of doom along with the mingled nervous tingle and joy that he felt from marrying the love of his life.

And yet, considering all this, Syrus put on a facade outside this room of his most trusted allies, save Amethyst, who was not to be worried with what was to be The End of the World.

" No matter what happens today...if they do come...be ready to evacuate the twins, Amethyst, and the civilians here. As for the rest of us, and the soldiers, we have the airships ready to mount an offensive once they appear in the manner that they have been reported as having presented themselves in other countries. Be ready to repeat the Sagastic Sacrifice, and know that their numbers are, for all intents and purposes, limitless. We may have to destroy the Black Gate. And for that...Nobunaga, forsaking Naos. "

The entire city of Toryn was buzzing with activity. With repairs complete, everyone's mind was on organizing the wedding and the resulting celebration. The business in the markets was in full swing as desperate citizens tried to find ideal gifts for their new royalty, and vendors were happy to oblige them. Closer to the outer wall, forges, kitchens, and workshops were active, smoke in all their chimneys. Once costly provisions were being given away for free in the streets by soldiers, out of Syrus' own pocket, to the citizens of Algeroth gathered here. Only the lightest of security could be found at strongholds like Darkwatch, and villages, such as Bale. Everyone was in attendance, and the city was packed. Carts of goods were rushed in an unending line up to the castle's main doors, beyond the final gate.

At the very center of the castle is a large garden known as the Inner Court. With obsidian-coated walkways and magnificent flora to behold, as well as the most finely sculpted statues of Algerothorian Heroes, Foes, Legends, and Gods. The focus of the seating that had been set out was at the feet of the statue at the very center of the open garden, that of Syrus' father. Syrus Azrael Warheight I, with his glorious sword and shield, where Dyami's egg had been found. There was now an alter before it, a wide alter with 10 books laid across it's face. The Tomes of Power, in public for all to see.

Syrus was not the only one to put on a facade for others to see, and hide what was actually going on underneath. Amethyst hide well the worry she was feeling ontop of the joy, and nervous feeling over the wedding they had been waiting for. She wasn't sleeping at night lately since Syrus began to get his dreams for Amethyst always knew the moment they struck at him, and she would sneak into his room to be near him as a calming factor in his mind till he would wake. Once he was awake would she disappear not letting him reliese she had been there, but then he might have known and not said anything. Eyes viewed the world inside the castle, and in the gardens around her as the decorations, and food was being prepared yet on the inside she was not with the activity but instead a silent shadow in the corner of Syrus's mind viewing through him what he tried to hide.

Amethyst would walk with her guards, and the servants through the grounds pointing out areas for rare roses of a gold color, and white ones to be placed with their black and silver ribbons about them. She stopped before the statue of Syrus Azrael Warheight I, and the tomes of power were set there at the center of the garden. " I wonder what you think of this wedding, and what has been happening down here from were you resting in your eternal sleep." she spoke in a soft tone. Amethyst would turn away from the statue now as she would go about directing the servants to carefully set up the chairs for the ceremony in the garden so that none of the plants were disturbed. Leaving the garden does she begin to walk the halls of the castle were ribbons, and greens with the various colors of whites, silvers, and golds were being run through out the castle.

She waved her guards off to their rooms or other duties tired of them being always near lately when she turned to look around, and she knew that they would be needing to refresh and doon the new white, and silver armor that had been supplied to them for the wedding. Amethyst looked at the mages of her goddess, and their servants as they were already dressed in the robes that they would attend the wedding in to honor her, and the goddess. They were decked out in black and gold to be opposite the guards, and she just shook her head at the mages for a moment before leaving the hall to walk into the dining room next to see what was being done.

The dining room had been decorated in black table cloths covering the tables with gold runners down the center, and silver ribbons wrapping white roses that acted as the center pieces. Along the walls was the same greenery, and ribbons with the various colors of the wedding weived into it. Obsidian coated silverware, and tablewares that held a hint of white and gold in the coating were placed out before each chair ontop of a white silk cloth to bring them out amongst the other settings. Eyes could dart to the doors that were opened wide out into the courtyard were other tables, and sitting areas that were prepared for the people of Algeroth that would be invited to share the day with them as the gates would be opened to them. She took in the sight for a moment before turning to the food to take note that there was various salads, both of the vegetable and the fruit kind to be picked through, and various different platers of fish prepared with either a glaze or topped with seasons, and even some just rubbed with lemon or left plain. Besides the salads and fish there was various types of potatoes prepared, and even fresh selections of fruit and vegetables or even some cooked. She walked along the table taking not of each item, and found various game hens, pig, peasants, peacocks, and various other meats that could be found were available. Amethyst would leave the dining room once she made sure the desserts, and different drinks were also prepared for the guests, and found everything to her liking.

Amethyst would stop for a moment to seem lost to the world around her as she seeps quietly into Syrus mind to see what was being done were he was at, and try to see what was being said. Foot steps carried her away down the hallway, and out the doors not really paying attention to what she was doing as her hands lifted did she weive them into the wind causing a funnel to form then shift forward creating a tunnel to the shrines battle arena. She seemed to go were her mind and heart pulled her to go when the worry got strong, and she wanted to feel at peace with memories of the past. This place always brought a smile to her face for it was were they had begun their road towards their wedding day, and as she entered the arena would the funnel shut leaving the people other then probably Syrus wondering were she was at.

In her room servants patiently prepared the silk, and satin dress of white that held stones of black, silver, and gold that actually looked like stars in a white mist when you looked at it. Heads shaked though for with this dress didn't come a train like most women of the royal lines liked to have to show off, but Amethyst didn't feel the need for it. To compliment the dress was a necklace, and earrings of a light blueish shade of white with gold, and black stones scattered here or there in the metal. All this items laid ready in the bedroom were Amethyst had been staying since her coming to the castle, and yet the bride wasn't there to prepare.

Sieg shuffled back and forth, atop the highest wall of the Inner Court. He appeared depressed, and yet smug, several dead Phoenician Guard at his feet. All of the items he'd been searching for, all the people he needed to kill...gathered in one place. His ascension was nigh, and soon he would be a God, with the power of the Sage lines at his fingertips. The Guard was heavy, but they were preoccupied. As his face gradually melted, and his body took the shape of one of the dead soldiers, he dreamed about touching the ground, and having a small army of golems keep everyone busy while he stole the Tomes of Power. If he could manage to absorb the information, he could have his forces charge into an opening he would create from the inside of the castle, and they could take the Sage Forces. Sieg smiled, a devilish smile, and leapt from the wall, now dressed in the gold armor of the Royal Guard.

Sieg would never have a chance, four Organization members materialized and grabbed him by his various appendages, only to disappear before coming anywhere near the people below, back into Oblivion. Sobiadin could not have Sieg interfering this time, and it was best he be subdued until The End. Back in Sobiadin's Spire, Sieg was shackled to two posts before Sobiadin's throne, while the Dark Lord himself patiently waited.

" Sieg, it is not yet your time. You will have your chance for power, but there is something much worse coming. The End of this realm, and yours, is upon us. The only one who can stop the approaching calamity is Syrus, as he is still your superior. "

Sieg, enraged, and fighting with his captors, spat at Sobiadin. " You fool! I was so close, no power can stand against me, once I have Ascended. It would have taken mere moments more, and they would be dead, and I could have handled the invaders! "

" So overzealous. I see, in your future, more potential than I do that Undying King, but today is not your day. While you fought your brother, The End would have taken you both. I promise you my support in the future, should you give me control of your armies for this day. "

" Fuck off and die, Sobiadin. " Sieg growled, and his eyes glowed white, before he shapeshifted into a massive upright tiger, and began bursting the chains that bound him.

" Then I will take them... " Sobiadin easily stopped Sieg's advance by dropping him into a portal connected deep within the Limitless Shadows. " Rally his Forces, they will join us or perish. "

Military everywhere were scrambling. There were no idle soldiers, all having been called on guard. Two rather high-ranking guards had been found dead very close to the Inner Court, a fact that disturbed Serge, and the Royal Guard. While the Metsuke was already rather busy with their own tasks, every soldier in the Royal Army was on guard at the castle. All the soldiers were either on foot, mounted in the city, posted on the walls or in the towers, or aboard one of the hundreds of warships that have their ports just on the outside of the city. Among them, was the rarely-flown HMS Phoenix, the largest-known warship in operation, recently modified.

All the craft had been outfitted with improved weaponry, and designed to take much more damage, at the cost of mobility, as it was assumed that the fight would not go far from Toryn, were they to come when Syrus predicted.

Syrus played it. She knew this would awaken the souls of the phoenix who lived in the arena, so she would begin to play the flute as her eyes closed. Feeling their energy feel the room slowly with each tune that is played, and at the moment the feeling was peaceful though it could be a warning to unwelcome guests. Their spirits protected the arena, and the Healing Shrine from this energy she hoped to gain a source of protection for Syrus in the future years to come. Fingers danced over the flutes surface causing the music to rise in sound as she played faster, and she ignored the growing tension in the room as the Phoenixes began to sweep around the outer edge of the arena.

After a moment does she open her eyes settling the flute done on the ground, and she took a moment to withdraw a ring made of obsidian yet black of design. Hand held the ring out before her when she speaks," I ask of you those that guard the enterance to the different shrines to bless this ring with your protection. Syrus will need all the aid he can find even from those that aren't of human or god status." As she whispered the red, gold and white phoenix broke from the sweep of phoenix spirits to approach the girl. Sweeping around her does voices speak," We gift our spirits to this ring that is a symbol of your twos love for eternity on your wedding day." Each spoke before dropping to sweep through her hand holding the ring, and a shimmer was sparked as them locked their souls into the ring bring a phoenix of each of their colors out in the black ring for a decoration. On the inside of the ring was a saying, " Two souls fought a battle one dawn, but their hearts were locked in love saving them both for their glorious future together. "

The task complete does she stand with the ring, and flute in hand turning to exit the arena with each step becoming more silent as she begins to fade away. Amethyst returned to her room in the castle to prepare knowing secretly that once the ring was placed on Syrus's hand, and the vow she speaks is said a hidden spell in the ring would gift him with a link to her energy, and power whenever he was in trouble or growing week. Yet it would also lock their minds and souls to each other to be able to better know where the other is if one or the other becomes missing once more.
