katana--Ganryu:The use of curved hilts allowed for more precise movements as well as near-perfect flexibility when engaged in blade-on-blade combat. It was also more complex and gave the wielder of such a hilt more of a challenge in training, requiring a minor variation in holding the grip. Curved hilts needed to be held more in the palm, farther away from the fingertips. The hilt's curvature also gave the wielder more power when delivering overhand strikes and would change the angle of the attacks by the merest fraction of a degree.

giant war fan-- Although defensive in nature, the war fan is also a diverse offensive weapon. Capable of parrying attacks and operating as a makeshift shield, the fan possesses the ability to move in erratic and unforeseen ways. Granted not the most deadliest of weapons, the war fan still possesses the abilities to inflict serious injuries with it's razor-like edge.

large Kusarigama attachment--Attacking with the weapon usually entailed swinging the weighted chain in a large circle over one's head, and then whipping it forward to entangle an opponent's spear, sword, or other weapon, or immobilizing his arms or legs. This allows the kusarigama user to easily rush forward and strike with the sickle.

A kusarigama wielder might also strike with the spinning weighted end of the chain directly, causing serious or deadly injury to his opponent while still outside the range of the opponent's sword or spear.

[defend] leather armor; Forehead protector

Tessenjutsu: is the martial art of the war fan. The practitioners of tessenjutsu could acquire a high level of skill. Some became so skilled, in fact, that they were able to defend themselves against an attacker wielding a sword, and even kill an opponent with a single blow. Apart from using it in duels against enemies armed with swords and spears, the skilled wielder could also use it to fence and fend off knives and poisoned darts thrown at him.

Kusarigamajutsu:is the art of using the weapon kusarigama.Kusarigamajutsu is featured in several separate martial arts such as Bujinkan (ninjutsu) and Shintō Musō-ryū. The kusarigama is made up of three parts: the kama (a wooden handle with a curved blade protruding at a right-angle on one end, and a small loop at the other), and the kusari (a chain attached to the kama) and a weight at the end of the chain. In a confrontation the kusari is swung in wide sweeping arcs to distract/entangle the opponent and the Kama is used to deliver a fatal strike.
