Appearance: A look of pain and sorrow was etched across his face. His hair was long and black, tied into a low pony-tail. A slightly over-sized black cowboy like hat rested upon his head, and as he shifted his gaze a shadow was cast over the patch work of pale human skin jumbled together with thick black demon's hide. From the shadow, all that was able to be seen was the glowing scarlet eyes glaring out at the cold world around him. Hanging off his shoulder was a long black trench coat, with silver lock hooks and torso length zipper holding it closed over the shifting skin of his body. The silver seemed to glow slightly in the darkness, giving off an almost soothing feel from them. Strapped across his back was a massive black bastard sword, normally referred to as his Shadows Arm. His hands, appeared to be clothed in a pair of black demon hide gloves, were clenched into fists at his side. Over a pair of scars that covered his wrists was what now appeared be a burnt set of crosses, which was copied upon his chest, these were once blessings from a priest at the church he had served and helped to protect its surrounding lands. His cold black Katana was held upon his waist by a silver metal chain belt, which also held up his boot cut black dress like jeans. Beneath these pants rested a dirty pair of black leather combat boots.

--Eye color: they were once a soft blue/gray color, but the curse had stolen those soothing eyes from him, replacing them with the Scarlet demon eyes he has now.

He swore to the gods and goddess above him, up to the heavens before him, that he would protect his love, his little baby girl, from the onslaught of the evil the flooded from hell. He was blessed in three spots, over his chest, where his pure heart rested, and upon both his wrists, covering the scares of failed attempts. He was then given the true blood of Christ, given to him to protect him from the dangers of hell, and the power that it had on the human spirit and body. Then finally he was given a pair of holy swords, allowing his odd dark gift to flow through them, allowing him to become even more powerful then before. One night, after he laid his daughter down, and rested his body upon a nice and comfy chair, he heard it, the war had finally reached his cities limits, and was slowly falling into his own backyard. He went into his daughter’s room, pulling her from the window, and laying her back into bed. He smiled lightly to her, begging her to return to sleep, whispering soft songs, and caring words into her ear, until she finally feel asleep. After he knew she was sleeping, he slipped from her room, and dawned his coat and boots, grabbing his swords, and exited to the battlefield. With the help of a select few, they managed to hold back the demons till dawn. When day broke, the army finally arrived, and the cities limits were reinforced with their protection. This wasn’t enough for Jonathan Lank, he returned to the church he was blessed in, and told the town, he wasn’t about to sit back and watch his town, and even daughter, slowly fall to the clutches of darkness. The church once again blessed him, down to the very clothes they was wearing. He gave his daughter a kiss goodbye, and boarded a boat that would take him across the river of sticks. Upon reaching the island that was home to hells gate, he said his final goodbyes to his daughter, who the city mayor would be watching over. She begged him to stay, but he only turned his back to her, and his entire world. The last known words of the mortal Jonathan Lank was “Goodbye curl world, I’m leaving you today, and theirs nothing that you can say, that will ever change my mind… I do this for you, and I will fall before Sentinel himself if that is what I must do, in order to save this damned world from death.”

Shin, Azure Enigma: His memory of this man is slightly foggy, twisted by the series of odd events he has recently gone through. What he does know about him is that he trust him enough to travel with him, he has some odd sense of respect for the man, but isn't sure if he consider's him a friend, nor if he would trust him to do whats right in certain situations...

Christoph: A good man, Jonathan has much respect for this man. He wishes him the best of luck in his goals, and would be happy to lend him any aid that he needs once his task is finished. His only current wish is that he could find him and help protect him and Mimic from the chaos that is happening to the world, even so much as to bring him back home to his friend and daughter for better protection.

Mimic: A creature of the shadow, one of which reminds Jonathan slightly of his daughter. He swore to protect her, much like Christoph, and wanted to bring christoph and her back to the house where Raven and Alexandria are so she can be safe.

Sturm: He isn't fully sure what he thinks of Sturm, but he will tolerate him until he gets the answers he needs.

His Daughter (Alexandria Lank): A beautiful 10-year-old little girl. She has long black hair that flows neatly down her back till it touches her waist. She is always found with a black sun dress on, black pearl healed shoes, a nice little sun umbrella, with a set of black wings hooked on her back from strings. Her face is young and soft, slightly paler then a normal child’s would be, and she always seems to have a hint of sadness. She is under the care of Raven Nightbreeze, a close friend of Jonahtan's.

Raven Nightbreeze: : A young woman, standing 5’7”, Raven has long black raven styled hair. She wears a leather top, just covering over her breast, and a long black skirt that is cut up her right leg, stopping just after her knee. A black leather belt wraps around her waits, and long black cloth gloves run up her arms to her elbows. She has a cold glare on her face most of the time, but its still soft and beautiful. She was found, shortly before the town was fist attacked by demons, just outside of the village. She could only remember her last name, Nightbreeze, a old clan of druids that lived a few miles outside of the village, but all reports of them said they were all killed off. Jonathan took her in, caring for her and bring her back to good health. She got in a fight with a man once, clawing at him, and she left a claw mark on the mans face that looked like a ravens claw had cut it, so from that day on, people started calling her raven. Shortly after, she started studying her natural gift, and followed the path of a druid. She takes care of Alexandria now, and has fallen in love with Jonathan, and sometimes at night, she can be found crying at the top window of her and Alexandria’s house, looking off in the direction of where Jonathan should be coming back to them from.

.:. Battle Information .:.

Jonathan uses a special form of Hyōhō Niten Ichi-ryū, in which he uses a Bastard Sword and a Katana in unison in combat. It’s a very Dexterous style, that still requires a lot of strength in order for him to combat in his full force.

Weapon of Choice: A set of pure black swords, the shadows arm (A bastard sword), and the Shadow Katana. These weapons are specially designed to allow him to use his True Shadow Powers through them.

-Twin Weapon Fighting:
Jonathan uses a special form of Hyōhō Niten Ichi-ryū, in which he uses a Bastard Sword and a Katana in unison in combat. It’s a very Dexterous style, that still requires a lot of strength in order for him to combat in his full force.

-True Shadows:
Energy normally held by neutral powers. This power allows one to travel through the shadows, entering into a dark and unpopulated land that allows travel to be cut in half, but spending to much time in the shadow roads can cause extreme fatigue, and even death. Legend has it that the energy can even be forced out of ones self, into many different forms of powerful blasts, but that has yet to be seen. True Shadows is a more advance, and the true raw form of Shadow Energy.

.:. Example of abilities .:.
--Shadow Road: Jonathan as the ability to enter into a real of existence that hides itself between all other existences. Lank can use this road to traverse seemingly any short distance in a matter of seconds. He can also use this to travel just about anywhere, although the farther the distance, the more time he spends on the shadow road. Also, if he wishes to break through to other forms of existence, he is required to complete tasks set by the shadowy creatures that exist in that land. Straying from the road is akin to suicide, and eating food from the realm when your not infused with shadow energy can cause one to get deathly ill.

--Second Strike: When combating targets that are agile enough to evade a collection of his strikes, Jonathan can reach out with his mind, willing the shadows of the target he is attacking to lance out in the form of another sword, and slash at the back side of his opponent. He has even been known to use this power to either extend his blade some, or cause blasts of shadow energy to escape from his weapon to fly at the target.

--Shadows Wrath: Jonathan can manipulate the shadows of the surrounding area to assist him in his combat. With this ability he can sink his essence into the world around them, cause the shadows to harden into walls or cages and the like, and even form into spikes and other dangerous weapons to lash out at whatever he deeps it worthy.

--Shadows Flight: This doesn't allow Lank to fly, it does however allow energy to build up underneath Jonathan's form. This energy can work as a catapult that allows him to fly through the air at a target. The higher he fly's, the more damage he risks coming down.

-Demonic Energy:
Energy normally held by the creatures the dwell within the land of the dark ones. Demons use these powers to change and manipulate the world around them. The energy doesn't so much damage its targets as it pulls the life force from its targets, weakens them physically, and even slows their movements down so that the user can deal with them in a more timely manner.

.:.Example of Abilities.:.
--Steal Innocents Life: With this power, he can rip the life force out of a target, slowly bringing them closer to death. This ability takes the most concentration out of all his abilities. He must also be touching a target, and said target must already be wounded. This is one of the few powers he can't channel through his shadowy powers.

--Sap the Runners Speed: This power is an augment onto either Lanks weapons or his shadow based attacks. When they are cut by something coated in this demonic power, it will sap away 10% of their maximum speed. It almost feels like they are starting to get tired.

--Sap the Warriors Strength: Another deadly augmentation of the demonic energy, this one steals away 5% of the targets strength. The two sapping powers cannot be used at once, and the sapping of the warriors strength ability must target and connect with a major muscle of some sort.

--Alter Geography (deadly): With great concentration, Jonathan can flood the area around him with demonic powers and force changes upon its geography. Depending upon the amount of concentration (and thus the amount of demonic energy) he can erect spikes from the ground, force open creators and even pull force rivers of lava from the earth. These powers take much more concentration then the Alter Geography (harmless) as these are alterations reality appears to be less likely to accept.

-Angelic Energy:
Energy normally held by the creatures that dwell within the lands of grace. Angels use these powers to both heal and manipulate the world around them. The energy doesn’t do much damage to those outside of the Demonic area, but it does allow him to heal himself and shape the landscape around him to better suit his needs.

.:.Example of Abilities.:.
--Blessed Light: This is a basic ability that allows Jonathan to form a light that shines bright as a torch. As Jonathan can see fine in the dark, he uses this to allow others around him a light to see.

--Healing Light: With this power Jonathan can spend time in concentration to heal his wounds, or lay a glowing hand upon another to heal their wounds.

--Heavens Wrath: This uses the Blessed Light Basics, flashing a bright light at the un-holy target he wishes to attack. This only works on undead and demons, it burns their flesh and blinds them. Skeletons crumble to bones, vampires become ash, and demons burn and die, if the power is found to be enough to kill or destory its targets.

--Alter Geography (harmless): Much like Alter Geography (deadly), this ability alters the landscape around Jonathan. He can do changes to it such as putting up walls, causing plants to grow to assist him in his escape, or even closing holes/creating bridges to get to where he needs to go.

.:.Example of Mixed Abilities.:.
--Surprise!: This uses all of his energies in one large attack. He creates a shadowy form of himself, infuses it with demonic energy and waits to get attacked. Once the target attacks him, the figure's weapon of choice (be it fist or sword) sinks into the target, and the demonic energy holds it in place, few have ever ripped it from the shadowy form. During the preparation time for this attack, he floods the area with angelic energy. When the time is right, he creates a bowl out of the earth with his Angelic Energy, and the shadows inside of this bowl pierce the center of it with hundreds of spikes. As the shadows are making their move, the shadowy form dissipates into the bowl and laces the shadows with demonic energy designed to strip the targets of either their strength or speed, more often then not their speed. A weakened form of Jonathan normally appears at the top of the bowl ready for further assault.

.:.Flaws.:.
-The Curse: While venturing through hell, Jonathan Lank slew many demons, catching the eye of Sentinel himself. Finally he made it to the throne room of Sentinel Tower. The battle was quick, and ended with a single blow, Jonathan had lost. Sentinel didn’t want to kill him, he had plans for him. He decided to curse Jonathan, forging him with powers of the demons around him. From that day forward, whenever Jonathan used his powers, he would become a little more demonic. The devil hoped that Jonathan would become a mindless demon, with the powers that he was showing in hell, Jonathan could easily help take over Utopia. But he didn’t count of the holy blood running through the mans veins, and when he sent for Jonathan to be destroyed, he escaped, making his way to the surface, and back to his town.

Intertwined Energies: When ever Jonathan uses both his Demonic and Angelic energies at the same time, like his surprise attack, he causes a horrid burning to happen inside of his body. This can noticeably effect him, slowing him for a while and forcing him to take a more defensive stance until he moves to attack again. Shadow Energy seems to have little to no effect on these situations. If he is in a blind rage, he has been known to fight through this pain, but it only risks causing more sever long term damage in the end.
