--Service to Cizok's Military

In his youth, Kumamoto Michio, a man who was cited as being a genius in the field of battle, fought against Gardini Almaster IV and his loyal army to overthrow the previous Shogun of Cizok, a warrior whose name has been erased from the pages of history. Like his fathers before him, he was a dedicated warrior in both Cizok’s political and military structures. More often than not, Michio was called a monster, an existence unknown to failure, and a warrior without equal--in the war for Cizok’s throne, he won several impossible battles and was almost always the last man standing, a mountain of corpses piled underneath his feet.

While his master’s enemy, Gardini Almaster IV, was winning victories against the Imperial army, the young man, Kumamoto Michio, was thinning the enemy’s ranks at an almost alarming rate. However, as luck would have it, Kumamoto Michio had eventually been over-worked, the key to success lying with the man’s well-being, and as he had fallen ill from overexerting himself, Gardini Almaster IV was allowed to march unhindered into the imperial city after only several skirmishes.

With news of his master’s regime having ended, Michio thought his honor lost, the Gods having abandoned him, but he was wrong--he had become almost a legend amongst Gardini’s own ranks and as a known quantity, a loyal soldier to his master, the new Emperor, Gardini Almaster, sought to exploit Kumamoto Michio.

Given a chance to reclaim his honor, at the foot of a new master, Michio’s ancestral land was increased and was kept on a payroll by Gardini himself, as an adviser to the Shogun, and the lord of a thriving town. However, after several years of peace it would seem that Michio’s legend and existence disappeared from the forefront of Gardini’s mind and even after one humiliating loss after the other, Michio was never called upon. His experience and field of expertise unneeded, the former soldier, samurai, and now lord; quietly sat back and watched his nation’s stability slowly crumble.

A lavish tomb was constructed in remembrance to Kumamoto Michio’s great deeds and even greater loyalty. Although foreign contractors had to be used for the construction of the tomb, citizens of Cizok still considering Michio as a symbol of the former regime, there was surprisingly a great turn-in for the former Daimyo’s funeral, the commoners and nobles of his village and territory doing well to pay their respects, recalling that Daimyo Kumamoto Michio had never once misused his power nor influence and was even light on taxing the poor, often times loaning them the money they needed, and charging an almost negligible rate of interest. Still, protestors and troublemakers were quick to pounce on an opportunity to tarnish the decease’s name; this was, however; ignored--even by the children of Kumamoto Michio.

Even those who fought in the revolution but were native to the man’s village had shown up, honoring their former enemy with their presence, and speaking of the great deeds they bore witness to, in both his past battles, and even the battles that took place during the revolution. Kumamoto Michio would forever be remembered in a kind light by his people, a boast that Gardini Almaster IV would never be able to make.

.:. School .:.

Kuma-ha Ittō-ryū: A sword-discipline created by Kumamoto Michio, this particular style also teaches, takes advantage of, and perfects the use of Kuma-Dao, a pole-arm created specifically for the Daimyo, Michio.

.:. Talents .:.

[Pact]In-human Endurance/Strength: Although his age has cooled the flame and vigor of youth, the man, Michio, is still quite powerful--if imposing.

Enhanced Reactions: Not unlike his son, Tanjiro, Kumamoto Michio is able to react to things at an almost alarming speed. However, the means by which he does so is through years of experience and not an unknown gift.

Ashi Waza: The forefather of all techniques based on increasing one's movement speed in either a straight or diagonal dash. This particular technique causes a strong gust of wind and loose dirt/dust to follow in the wake of the samurai utilizing it.

Kakushi Waza - KIAI!
: A doping technique that focuses all of Michio's Ki into a single part of his body, either for the purpose of defending, or to increase the destructive power in his hits. Excessive use of this causes an almost unbearable level of stress to his body. Due to his age, prolong use of this ability is fatal.

Kumamoto Legacy: The Kumamoto family are bound by a legacy, when the family was first established--the head of the family had formed a pact with a greater spirit, specifically: the spirit of a Dire Bear. In exchange for their servitude and worship, a source of strength for the spirit, they would inherit the beast's strength and endurance. Now, upon the death of whoever had inherited the gifts of the family "deity," a single child, sired by the deceased, will gain the gifts of the pact.

[Kumamoto Michio]

Tactician: Despite his overwhelming strength and combat prowess, his true abilities lie in formulating battle strategies and is why he was chosen to become a Daimyo in the first place.

Inspiring: Either through fear or respect, Kumamoto Michio knows exactly what to say and when to say it. Under his command and authority; no army will ever route.

Connections: Unlike other government officials in Cizok, Kumamoto Michio has kept a rather strong tie to those who inhabit Cizok's underbelly.

.:. Flaws .:.

Loyalty: If it wasn't for his absurd loyalty, Kumamoto Michio could quite possibly overthrow the current Shogun in much the same way Gardini Almaster IV overthrew the previous.
