History: Edicius, ( formerly Gerald, of an Algerothian noble family. ) was born in Roth, Algeroth. A center of learning and wealth, Roth is an entire city that makes up one Great Library, a collosal bank of knowledge and artifacts. He was expelled from his family and sentenced to death by an ancient ritual in which he was to take his own life so as not to bring shame on the family for being born without the family's specific kinetic powers. His mother saved him from his fate and sent him away, where he developed a power of his own. He was a kinetic, after all but instead of being gifted with pyrokineticism as his family had been, he was gifted as a geokinetic. A singularly rare talent among his people which was looked down upon as evil, and instead of a representation of Naos' fire, it was thought to be a gift from evil and tainted gods.

He took with him two very valuable, and very powerful artifacts similarly thought to be cursed by the god Kaos. The Gottlos Mondoch, a pair of oddly-wielded daggers with blades on it's handguards. He has mastered the use of these weapons, and was seen as valuable himself by a group of kinetics working toward their ill-fated ends as a small army. He was allowed to hone his gift, and despite his lack of strength and agility he compensated for his age and size with his incredible gift with earth and rock. As a weapon, he killed untold thousands silently and efficiently alongside his comrades until he found his way out. Freshly free, he snuck into Roth, where he was confronted by his brother whom he fought and killed to keep his existence a secret. Everyone from his home besides his mother thought they had watched him die. Before she could sneak him out, his mother had him take part in the suicidal ritual of sacrifice while she protected his life with her own unique talents, but he was spared no pain. He felt every bit as though he were being roasted alive in the flames of his family as they brutally turned their powers on him.

Edicius decided to leave Algeroth and the whole of the mainland behind. He found a ship that promised fertile lands and easy, peaceful jobs in a place called Kalmarden. The voyage by sea took months, and along the way he befriended a very sick little girl by the name of Sophitia. Late one night, while the pair of them slept, everyone was mysteriously slaughtered aboard the ship, just short of arrival at the port town. Edicius sought to leave the town as quickly as possible and escape inland when he met a man named Kraven, who came on behalf of his mistress Ana, a wealthy woman looking to adopt two children fitting their descriptions.

It seemed like a dream, an unbelievable blessing, and so he went and he took Sophi with him. They were promised medical care, a home, and a simple life of education and farmwork for Edicius. He would be fed and cared for, and in return he would complete his education before working in Kalmarden, where he would hopefully be able to watch over Sophi. And then he met Ana for the first time, for the next day. The Tragedy of Edicius Selbstmord did not end, and it could never end, now. He was turned, and became an immortal nightmare to himself and others. A bloodthirsty nightcrawler with a face forever as beautiful and innocent as it was a sin in the face of the Gods. Edicius was vampire, as was Ana...as was little Sophitia.

>> Contacts.

Sophitia - Recently met, though already a close companion.
Vampire Sophitia - Once a sick friend he took comfort in caring for, he blames himself for getting himself and her turned into vampires and resents her new attitude toward him.

Anabel VonHagen - Ed's new mother and mistress.
Blythe - A servant of Ana, present at Ed's Turning.
Kane - Ed's father, who betrayed him to a life of tragic suffering.
Bria - Ed's mother, who saved him and sent him away from his home. She is dying slowly from a condition which she shares with him, Totesauge. It slowly makes you blind as you are forced to invoke it with the stress of emotion, and eventually causes bleeding in the brain that results in death.
Gerard - Deceased - Ed's youngest brother, slain by his hand.
Gabriella - Ed's twin sister, living in Roth.
Godfree - Deceased Ed's eldest brother, slain by Kraven.

>> Powers and Abilities.

Special abilities:
Totesauge - In times of great stress he can become infinitely more attuned with the earth at the cost of his eyesight. Manifests as a degenerative disease of the eyes that eventually leads in death from bleeding in the brain.
Geokinetic
Dual Knives
Vampirism

Fighting style: Gottlos. Edicius fights very low to the ground, moving the earth to move himself rather than allowing the earth to be an obstacle for him to move across. He can catapult himself incredibly far by jutting portions of the earth from the ground, a practice he is most adept at, which can also be used to impale aggressors. Edicius is deftly skilled with the use of his own two daggers.
