-- Demeanor: Ares is as playful as he is serious, unfortunately for his companions or anybody who comes across him. A mischievous boy of some power, he often harmlessly abuses his abilities, which may grate on the nerves of a graver individual. It's not above Ares to use his 3 "Ts of Terror" (teleportation, telekinesis, and telepathy) to cause harmless fun (harmless to him, at least).
Conversely, and fortunately, a serious Ares is a well-versed and competent individual. Ares might end up getting his friends in trouble, but he is very protective of his allies as well. Using cunning and agility more than power, Ares is a force to be reckoned with in a dangerous situation.
.:. History .:.
Ares Kaminari originates as a clone of a being to the appearance of a human with a slight cosmetic change of the addition of a silver tail, named Svenson Kaminari. Svenson had no amount of ego or malice in his choice to clone himself, but simply wished to have some semblance of a family he didn't ever have. His species (whatever origin they may have) have a particular penchant for energy use (be it magical, ki, or psionic) and channeling. Finding himself unable to care for his child due to his wartime duties, Svenson requested his close friend Luna raise his child away from dangers. Ares was raised indeed, and given the proper training by Luna's husband, Kitsune, grew quickly into an adept energy-user and martial artist. At the age of 5 years old, Ares' father returned for a brief period of time. He was given the rigorous training in both mental and physical features. Svenson wanted his son to follow in his footsteps, but unknowingly began suffocating him of the love and tenderness that his father had withheld from him. In two short years, Svenson was off again, and Ares, feeling no desire to return to his old family due to his newfound powers and training, albeit with new inappropriate emotions, sought assistance elsewhere.
Ares wandered far, his innocence and age giving him protection from the worst of the world. People took him in on sight. He lived with many families, learned much in short periods of time. He was mischievous though, and sought approval harder than ever. He exceeded the expectations of most that took him in. A thousand hearts were broken in short years as Ares stayed no place for any period of time, abandoning his families with little regard. Ares sought mentorship with power. It was then that Ares met Eugene Tsuoi, a human who had magically extended his life and granted himself artificial divine powers of angelhood. Tsuoi sought one last greater goal: the ability to remove the downfall of mortality--a process called Remote Consciousness. Sensing Ares' amazing potential, he nearly immediately granted Ares created-angelhood. Eugene was with Ares for two years more, teaching him to forgo the use of raw energies and excel in powers of subtlety and finesse: Psionics, powers of the mind. Only those of great mental fortitude could undergo "Remote Consciousness." Ares was granted the process at age 9 along with Tsuoi himself, and they spent countless years together; Eugene undoing much of the damage Svenson and his wandering lifestyle. Ares relearns the value of friends and love, things his first family-- Luna and Kitsune-- had taught him so long ago. Having lived together longer than any father and son could, Eugene and Ares parted ways. Eugene to find some next great truth or knowledge, Ares seeking to discover the childhood he lost, which he is never able to reclaim.
Ares spends years pinballing between Utopia and Heaven, he belongs truly to neither plane. Fooled by his granted-angelhood, heaven demands he stay within the constraints of other angels, doing business and ignoring the fallen beings. He often escapes into the city of heroes and mortals, and being caught, is often expelled to the mortal realm to perform some meaningless task, simply to remove Ares from causing problems. Ares has long since learned these tasks are trivial, and worries not performing them, and generally playing a mischievous but well-meaning trickster. When the situation escalates, as it inevitably does, the mortal realm has its own protectors of sorts. Either a reluctant divine power recalls Ares to the heavenly realm, or his pursuers and victims eventually force him to return to the heavenly realm until he is forgotten, be it bad memory or death. Always, time flows around Ares, without him.

.:. Battle Information .:.
Telekinesis: Ares possesses the ability to manipulate objects remotely with his mind. No somatic or verbal components are necessary to indicate this, although he may habitually indicate his telekinetic focus by his hand, usually if he's not trying to be particularly conspicuous.
Telepathy: Ares can use telepathy with a small amount of concentration. Ares is nowhere near the most powerful of telepathists known to Dystopia or the other realms, but the ability comes in handy in most social situations and he has learned some battle applications.
Teleportation: Ares has gained the ability to teleport freely. Ares' teleportation is vastly considered one of his more powerful abilities. Like any refined skill, it comes from large amounts of practice. This ability is innate to most beings that are actively-interplanar. Traveling frequently from the mortal plane to the heavenly plane has given Ares significant time to perfect this skill.
Martial Artist: Ares is well-versed in the study of martial arts. Particularly in Judo, and Muay Thai. Judo is used to counter-grapples, which as a small person Ares finds extremely difficult to deal with. Muay Thai is mostly used to deliver a quick flurry of punches of strikes that suit Ares' speed, small stature, and ability to duck inside somebody's reach.
Gliding & Wing Manifestation: Ares hides his wings. He may glide using his black angel wings, but doing so will reveal them.
Pre-tensile grip: Ares may objects with his tail.
Remote Consciousness: Ares' soul resides on an alternative plane of existence, thusly his bodies are akin to that of remotely-controlled living mindless dolls.
.:. Equipment .:.
Virtually nothing. Ares' abilities are mental, and he is a martial artist. He relies on little more than his allies.
.:. Talents .:.
(Apologies in advance for the amount of text, I believe in a strongly thorough explanation of abilities. And believe me, he requires it)
Telekinesis: Telekinesis is using a non-physical force to move a physical force. However, unlike magic, telekinesis is generally more subtle, and comes from a focus of the mind without the need to channel an external force. Ares may lift objects quickly weighing up to 25 pounds. Boxes, crates, and the like make excellent projectiles. With several seconds of focus, objects of heavier amounts may be lifted. Numerous smaller objects may be manipulated adeptly, and sometimes are the more dangerous use of this power (knives, stakes, even utensils)
Telepathy: Telepathy is the ability to use pry into another's mind and read their thoughts. Ares possesses minor telepathy, mostly able to hear the surface thoughts of maybe one or two people within his sight. Strong-willed minds or those trained in telepathy are better at preventing these intrusions, limiting thoughts to only those most prominent "loudest" thoughts or to a complete block. In the heat of battle it is extremely hard to actively use telepathy, as it requires concentration. Ares can conceivably widen his telepathy to a non-focused "detection of thoughts" within a few yards. This would be most applicable to prevent an opponent from hiding and attempting to attack suddenly from outside of sight. Silence of thought is nearly as important as silence of body in this case.
Teleportation: The final mental power of Ares. Ares' teleportation can be used at virtually any distance. There are several constraints:
1) It takes time to prepare to teleport further. Simply moving a few inches or feet could take seconds, allowing Ares to maybe dodge one or two attacks with the energy he can gather reactively. Out of combat however, given the proper time, Ares can teleport nearly anywhere.
2) Teleporting is an imprecise art. The better Ares knows of the place he wants to teleport to, the better off he is. Teleporting to a place Ares has barely any knowledge may result in a slightly-off target destination or even a similar but completely different one. Ares can competently teleport extremely short distances.. such as through a non-magical door.. however beyond his normal senses he has no way to tell what's behind it.
Martial Artist: Ares is an accomplished martial artist. He is trained in many styles, but focuses on the following two, which he finds most useful:
Judo: Meaning "gentle way." Its most prominent feature is to throw one's opponent to the ground, immobilize or otherwise subdue one's opponent with a grappling manoeuvre, or force an opponent to submit by joint locking the elbow or by executing a choke. Strikes and thrusts (by hands and feet) — as well as weapons defences — are a part of judo.
Muay Thai:"The Art of Eight Limbs", as the hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extensively in this art. A practitioner of Muay Thai ("nak muay") thus has the ability to execute strikes using eight "points of contact," as opposed to "two points" (fists) in boxing and "four points" (fists, feet) used in the primarily in other forms of martial arts.
Gliding & Wing Manifestation: Ares possesses the ability to glide near indefinitely if he desires, granted he has the room to maneuver. This is because gliding relies on forward movement to gently lower the user to the floor. Ares has very little capability to carry any extra weight. Ares' wings are normally concealed, as described below:
1) The concealment is actually a minor glamour ability Ares perfected. He wraps the light around his wings. The ability to see magically concealed objects will reveal his wings. Those who can detect magic or of keen sight will notice something slightly awry.
2) Ares cannot keep his wings glamoured when using them. Stillness in his wings makes it easier to warp light. The movement of gliding is simply too hard to glamour for Ares. It is something he intends to work on.
3) Glamouring his wings uses small amounts of energy and very minute amounts of vigilant concentration. In situations where Ares is weak in mental power or of times of extreme emotions he may lose his glamour.
Pre-tensile Grip: Ares' tail is mundanely concealed by being wrapped around his waist under his clothes. He may use it as necessary. Objects of no significant weight can be carried (roughly more than 5 pounds). Thusly, Ares cannot hold himself up by his tail.
Remote Consciousness: Ares' most unique ability. Probably the result of some lost ritual devised by the original deity-- long gone from the cosmos-- to create other deities. Thusly believed to be a similar process to how a deity manifests itself onto the human plane. Ares himself is not able to teach others or fully explain the process. The process undergone by Ares and by his tutor, Eugene Tsuoi, is a mere mockery of the original form resulting from millenias of studying by Tsuoi. Essentially, the soul is removed from the body and placed on an alternative plane of existence. Ares' consciousness more than likely exists in a pocket dimension: A small dimension whose entrance is virtually undetectable on some random plane, and by what plane(s) the connection is made to his bodies, Ares himself does not know. This grants a wide variety of benefits and penalties:
1) Ares' bodies are simply scuplted manifestations of matter from the mortal plane. The mindless abilities of Ares' bodies make virtually any form of telepathy or mind-reading worthless. Ares may feel no pain if he chooses, but it is useful to know the limitations of or damages to his physical form. Ares' need not sleep, but the bodies need to eat and drink keep the body's other processes intact.
2) If killed, Ares will essentially cease to exist for a period of time until his consciousness can recover enough energy to create another body. This could be anywhere from seconds to millenia, depending on the fatigue severity, the number of bodies he has created recently, the amount of his powers he was using, etc.
3) Ares' new body will usually appear close-by to the original as the remaining portions of his body are an ideal material for creating the amazing conduits required to channel significant power. The amount of Ares' previous body(s) remaining is inversely proportional to the length of time he is gone. However, other soulless bodies (usually deceased) of significant power may shorten the time it takes to create a new body.
4) Assuming a lack of proper material, Ares may form a new body virtually anywhere. He is not bound to create his body near his old one, or even on the same plane, it's simply much quicker to do so usually.
5) Technically, there is no reason Ares cannot choose his new body to be different. As his mentor and him feared, you may eventually forget your "true form." Your original form is also the best suited conduit for your powers. As such it would take extremely dire circumstances to make Ares change forms.
.:. Flaws .:.
Childish: Ares' personality is perpetually stuck in that of a 9 year old. He possesses much intelligence and wisdom, but he desires not the discipline to use them, continually seeking his lost childhood. He is liable to be more emotional, one-track minded, and lead his companions into trouble with his antics.
Tail: Ares' tail remains a weak spot, one of a foolish nostalgia more than anything. Pulling on it causes a reflexive crumpling of his body. Holding him up by it essentially makes his physical body worthless; It even goes so far as to affect Ares' ability to channel energy, and his powers will be less effective for some time.
