.:. History .:.
<Slow work in progress>

Chen was born to Shi Chun Cheng and Shi Li Qiang, both monks that reside withing the to the Monastery of Baransu. As a youth born within the confines of the Monastery and never knowing the greater world Chen grew up dreaming of a magnificent place told to him through dusty tombs and stories of traveling monks. When he wasn't day dreaming he was constantly training and studying the Tao of Baransu.

Children born in the island monastery where rare but not unheard of because most of the monks practiced celibacy and those that did not generally found their significant others while traveling Utopia. Chen was treated no different then any of the other monks because of his origins, the only difference being that Chen received his training at a earlier age then the standard monk.

When Chen was in his twentieth year he took leave from the temple. His masters believe that in order for Chen to truly reach a stage of enlightenment he needed to experience more then what they could offer in their walls. While Chen was on a boat to take him to the mainland a savage storm shipwrecked him and he found himself on a foreign island.

The island belong to Malu people, a people that consisted nearly a dozen warring tribes. Chen found himself under attack not long after he awoke on the island, he managed to defeat the small raiding party. Another tribes scouts watched Chen and witnessed his alien style of fighting. They welcomed him in and though there was a language barrier Chen watched and learned what they called Capoeira. Chen spent two years on the Malu Island, but not once did he take part in their war other then to defend the village in which he was living. In return for their hospitality and teaching Chen taught the village his own form of combat.

Chen hitched a ride on a fishing boat to Cizok and without any further delays he made it to the main land. Cizok hadn't changed terribly it seemed, the information he learned through books and other monks proved to be accurate. Chen stuck out like a sore thumb and while he spent one night in a tavern at the very edge of Cizok he was attacked by several bandits.

The drunken men didn't stand much of a chance against him, but luckily Chen wasn't required to fight. Another drunk, or so it seemed, man came to his aid and what looked liked to be accidentally knocked out the assailants. Through conversation Chen learned the man to be a Zui Quan practitioner. Chen managed to convince Master Akodo to teach him his style of combat. Since getting drunk was a taboo of Chen's monastery he could not, 'truly appreciate the art' as Master Akodo told him.

Chen was rather good at pretending to be drunk though and with his Capoeira training already had impeccable balance, the training in Zui Quan enhanced that talent and broadened his knowledge. Unfortunately Chen was not able to follow Master Akodo for very long. Chen took what he had learned and said his good byes as the two split ways.

Kung Fu: Chen has spent the entirety of his life not just practicing Kung Fu but living it, it is ingrained in him as natural to him as breathing. Through it and the beliefs that surround it he believes he will reach not only a physical peak but a mental and spiritual one as well and reach a state tranquility and enlightenment that others can not comprehend.

Capoeira: While stranded on Malu island Chen learned this form of combat, while at first mistaking it for a dance he quickly learned it's uses, the odd way they moved and struck from odd angles intrigued him. Chen has been practicing this style of fighting for several years now and has become adept in it's use.

Zui Quan: Zui Quan, or Drunken fist, is an odd form of combat that Chen learned after he arrived in Cizok. While he is far from mastering this Chen finds the ability to maintain balance in nearly any position incredibly useful and the power generated from this form is impressive
